[GAME SPOTLIGHT] Monster Harvest

You know me and my love of monster-raising games and RPGs. Throw those things together with a farming sim, and you’ve got a match made in heaven! And that seems to be exactly what Merge Games (whose games I already have more than a few of in my library) did with their game Monster Harvest. Colour me interested!

Monster Harvest is a monster collecting and farming action RPG with a twist! Grow, collect and mutate your crops then take them into battle! Filled with places to discover and multiple ways to build your farm, get ready to craft, explore and battle across the vibrant world of Planimal Point.

Get ready to explore the world of Planimal Point!

Grow, collect and mutate your crops and take them into battle! Brimming with a multitude of areas to discover, craft, build your own farm and home, Monster Harvest blends RPG mechanics, exploration and action across the vibrant world of Planimal Point.

From mutating your crops into several different variants and taking them into battle, to collecting a wealth of Planimal companions to help you fight enemies and explore the world with, Monster Harvest brings an array of different elements across it’s bright and colourful world! Meet new characters, visit shops in town, explore dangerous caves or discover new mounts!

Adventure across three unique seasons which can effect the way you play, with strange weather and seasons shifting what you can grow – watch out for the strange mutations during the dark season which can dominate the land!

No lie, the idea of a game that combines what I love about games like Stardew Valley with what I love about games like Pokemon just thrills me right to death! I could see myself pouring so very many hours into a game like this. Crafting, farming, raising monsters, exploring the land, experiencing the changes of different seasons… Yeah, this whole thing looks right up my alley!

If this is the sort of game that sounds equally up your alley, then it’s releasing on August 19th, 2021, for Steam, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and XBox One. Can’t wait to take a look at this one when it’s available!
